Ageo Plastic Model Exhibition 2026

About this event

"Ageo Plastic Model Exhibition 2026" is an event that provides many citizens with an opportunity to experience the everyday popular culture of plastic models (plamo) and aims to enhance cultural and artistic activities. Operated with the cooperation of local modeling circles and individual modelers, it also fosters a sense of mutual solidarity and local pride among citizens. In addition to an exhibition of plastic model works submitted by the general public, plastic model workshops for beginners will be held. Experienced modelers will provide instruction, offering hands-on experiences in building character models (robots and dinosaurs) and scale models (jeeps, airplanes, etc.). There are also corners where you can purchase and build plastic models on the spot, as well as a corner where you can build and test-drive Mini 4WD cars. Furthermore, a plastic model flea market corner featuring rare finds will appear, making it a day to experience all kinds of plastic model fun. Admission to the exhibition is free, while participation fees are required for the beginner workshops and driving experience. Submissions for exhibition works close in advance, but same-day registration is available for beginner workshops, building experiences, and test-driving.
