4th Kyoei Wakaba Festival

The "4th Kyoei Wakaba Festival," held in Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture, is a community festival taking place at Wakaba Handkerchief Tree Park (Wakaba Hankachinoki Park) and the street in front of it, about a 2-minute walk from the West Exit of Wakaba Station. On the day, a variety of attractions are scheduled, including presentations by various groups, food and beverage sales by 10 kitchen cars (food trucks), festival stalls such as yo-yo fishing and target shooting, as well as a "Mini Dragon-Serpent Procession," "Iai Battoujutsu sword drawing demonstrations," and "cheer dance performances." Of particular note is the "Costume Cosplay Walk," which was well received last year and allows anyone to participate casually, from authentic cosplay to simple dressing up. Prospective participants are encouraged to contact organizers via Instagram in advance, but same-day walk-in participation is also welcome. Changing rooms are prepared about a 5-minute walk from the venue, and people of all ages and genders, as well as pet dogs, are welcome to participate.
