About this event
Recreating Namegawa Town's traditional "Numabushin" practice (marsh maintenance work), the "39th Numa Festival" is a community festival where visitors can enjoy learning about the history and nature of marshes through fish catching, living creature exhibitions, and eel catching by hand. It is held at the Athletic Field and Azamikubo Marsh in Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park. This event provides a valuable opportunity for participants to directly touch the marsh ecosystem and understand its importance. Admission to the park is free on this day, though parking fees apply separately. The venue is about a 20-minute walk from the South Gate or Central Gate. The event will proceed in light rain, but will be canceled in stormy weather.
