About this event
The 59th Funabashi Citizens' Festival will be held on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Funabashi City. This festival is characterized by elaborately planned events held across multiple venues. At the Funabashi Venue, performances such as mikoshi (portable shrines), parades, baka-men odori (fool-mask dance), yosakoi, and wadaiko (Japanese drums) will unfold, allowing visitors to fully savor the true essence of a festival. Also, at "Made in Funabashi," visitors can enjoy exhibitions of products made in the city, company introductions, and hands-on crafting experiences. As a summer vacation special edition, a science hands-on session for elementary school students will also be held. Furthermore, the "Joy & Shopping Fair" is packed with family-friendly programs such as a flea market, mini-events, restaurant stalls, and police vehicle exhibitions. In addition to the Funabashi Venue, venues in Nakayama, Narashinodai, Futawamukodai, and Tsudanuma will each hold events with their own distinctive features.
