31st Matsudo International Cultural Festival

Commemorating the 55th sister-city anniversary between Matsudo City and the City of Whitehorse, the "31st Matsudo International Cultural Festival" is a popular autumn event where you can easily enjoy world cultures and gourmet food. Featuring Australian culture this year, the stage will host traditional Australian Indigenous dances, historical introductions, didgeridoo performances, and historical talks about the City of Whitehorse. Workshops offering balloon art, Australian animal hunts, badge making, and mask making will be available for both children and adults. The gourmet section features Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, gelato, and Australian cuisines. In the exhibition and hands-on area, you can experience global cultures directly through foreign exchange student paper-theater (kamishibai), Thai fruit/vegetable carving, traditional ethnic costume dress-up, aroma hand treatments, a tea ceremony experience, and South American Ecuadorian goods sales. With free admission and no prior registration required, visitors are welcome to drop by easily.
