Sakura Cosmos Festival

About this event

At Sakura Furusato Square, over 500,000 colorful cosmos flowers bloom in full glory, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery of windmills and cosmos woven together in the spacious grounds along Lake Inba. During the Cosmos Festival, sightseeing boat cruises and cosmos picking/sales are held, creating an event that connects flower to flower and person to person. Cosmos digging and cutting can be enjoyed for 100 yen for 5 stems or 300 yen for all-you-can-pick per bag. As the ground can be muddy, preparing boots or rain footwear is recommended. In addition, food trucks will be open mainly on Saturdays and Sundays during the period. Visitors can also tour the Dutch windmill 'De Liefde' and use the shop 'Saranka,' which sells souvenirs and local seasonal vegetables.
