The "Sumida Meister 'Sumida Artisan Experience' Traditional Craft Workshop," held at Roadside Station Minori no Sato Togane (Michi-no-Eki Minori no Sato Togane), will take place on the second day of Silver Week 2026. Visitors can enjoy traditional craft workshops by "Sumida Meisters," who possess skills to create high-value-added products representing Sumida Ward. Experiences include mini folding screen making, handkerchief yuzen dyeing, leather phone pouch making, leather coin purse making, and katakata wooden toy making, as well as tin mini dish making and initial netsuke making that require advance reservations. This event allows people to fully enjoy the cultural autumn and is designed for a wide range of age groups from children to adults. In addition, a special exhibition and sale of Sumida traditional crafts will be held concurrently.
