Ichihara Craft 2026

About this event

"Ichihara Craft 2026" is a craft event held at the Event Plaza in Kazusa Sarashina Park, Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture. Renamed from its former title "Art Craft in Ichihara," it will take place in a new format in 2026. Around 100 craft artists from across Japan will gather to exhibit and sell handmade works. In addition to merchandise sales, booths offering hands-on workshops will also be available. The spacious booths measure 3.6 x 3.6 meters and allow vehicle entry. This event aims to convey the joy of "crafts" and "monozukuri" (craftsmanship) to children and pass on the wonder of crafts to the future, providing a venue for encounters between creations, creators, and many users. Additionally, the "59th Ichihara City Cultural Festival Craft Exhibition" will be held concurrently on the same day, featuring authentic craft works across various genres—such as ceramics, woodworking, glass, bamboo, leather, and dyeing—with free admission. It offers a valuable opportunity to speak directly with makers and purchase their works.
