Held at the Kurimoto Athletic Ground in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, the '36th Kurimoto Furusato Sweet Potato Festival' is an event where you can fully enjoy the flavors of autumn. Approximately 1.2 tons of roasted sweet potatoes, made by slowly roasting Kurimoto's specialty Silk Sweet sweet potatoes with rice husks, are scheduled to be distributed for free. In addition, approximately 0.8 tons of steamed sweet potatoes steamed in giant seiro steamers will also be distributed free of charge. The venue is packed with activities for the whole family, including a sweet potato digging experience plaza, sales of local agricultural produce, and a kitchen car plaza.
