Organized by the Taito City Arts and Cultural Foundation, the "Hogaku Fresh Concert 2026" is a concert performed mainly by students from the Department of Traditional Japanese Music at Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music. It offers an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sounds of traditional Japanese music. On the day, a diverse program is scheduled to be performed, including the original piece "Ran'en Futatane Gusa," shakuhachi piece "Take," Yamada-school koto piece "Yuku Aki," Ikuta-school koto piece "Trio for Koto and Seventeen-String Koto," Noh solo vocal "Tamagazura," and original piece "Saigyo" (the order of pieces is subject to change). The venue is the Former Tokyo Music School Sogakudo Concert Hall (inside Ueno Park), an Important Cultural Property. Tickets cost 2,000 yen (all unreserved seating), and preschool children are not admitted. Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Taito City Arts and Cultural Foundation Online Ticket Service, CN Play Guide, or the ticket counter at Taito Ward Asakusa Public Hall.
