About this event
The "43rd Kyowa Scarecrow Festival", a major summer event held annually in Kyowa Town, the "Home of Scarecrows," attracts visitors with around 100 unique and distinctive scarecrows lined up at the venue. In addition to the scarecrow contest, the stage is packed with programs for the whole family to enjoy, including character shows. There will also be tasting and direct sales of Kyowa agricultural products, including the specialty "Raiden Melon," as well as a popular potato-bagging event. The festival's finale is decorated with about 1,000 fireworks, offering a magnificent and breathtaking spectacle across the night sky. In addition, a dance and play live performance by the SIT Band (Sapporo International Information High School Wind Orchestra) will take place; please note the venue, as this will be held in the Kyowa Town Lifelong Learning Center Gymnasium.
