OTSUKIMI NIGHT at SHIBUYA: Mid-Autumn Moon Viewing

Japanese name:OTSUKIMI NIGHT at SHIBUYA 中秋の名月観賞

📅 Thu, Sep 24, 2026

📍 Shibuya, Tokyo

About this event

A special viewing event where you can enjoy the Harvest Moon (Mid-Autumn Moon) in the night sky of Shibuya. Held at "SKY STAGE," the rooftop observation space of Shibuya Scramble Square directly connected to Shibuya Station, visitors can observe the moon and stars along with Tokyo's nightscape from 229 meters above ground. In addition to observing the moon and stars with astronomical telescopes, commentaries by starry sky guides are provided, allowing even astronomical observation beginners to enjoy with peace of mind. In 2026, it will be held on Thursday, September 24, where the view of the sky transitioning from sunset to night is also a highlight. Visitors can spend a mystical time observing celestial bodies unique to this season—including the Mid-Autumn Moon, Saturn, and summer/autumn constellations—right from the heart of the city. In the event of bad weather, Friday, September 25 will serve as the backup date. Participation is open to those holding an admission ticket or annual passport for "SHIBUYA SKY" on the day of the event.
