The "37th Hokutopia Young Rakugo Performer Competition" is an acclaimed rakugo gathering known as a gateway to success for up-and-coming rakugo performers. It features a unique participatory format where a single vote from audience members in the venue influences the performer's destiny. Talented futatsume-rank performers—Tachibanaya Bungo, Kingentei Umataro, Sanyutei Gunma, Yanagiya Fukuyoshi, Katsura Sasamaru, and Ryutei Sharaku—will stage a heated contest of storytelling artistry. This year's guest performer will be the popular storyteller Kyotaro Yanagiya, who will liven up the venue. Kometsubu Shakyo will serve as the master of ceremonies. Having produced popular masters such as Taihei Hayashiya, Sanza Yanagiya, and Ichinosuke Shunputei, this rakugo meet allows you to discover next-generation talent and experience the dynamic world of rakugo. To ensure fair judging, voting tickets are not distributed for admission after a performer's routine has begun, so entering prior to showtime is recommended. Preschool children are not admitted.
