About this event
The "Kitsuki Taisha Shrine Annual Grand Festival," an autumn festival held every year on the first Saturday and Sunday of October at Kitsuki Taisha Shrine enshrined in Kyonan-cho, Musashino City, will be held again in 2026. This grand festival features various community-rooted events, such as children's Mikoshi (portable shrine) processions, an amateur entertainment dedicatory karaoke contest, the Yoimiya Eve Festival, and the shrine entrance of portable shrines (Miyairi) on the day of the festival. In particular, traditional Shinto rituals, including Musashino Hayashi musical performances and the ceremonial reception of the envoy from the Association of Shinto Shrines (Jinja Honcho), will be conducted, making it an important event heralding the arrival of autumn for local residents and worshippers. Street stalls will also open from around noon on both days, adding even more excitement to the festival. Its easy access, just a 5-minute walk from the South Exit of JR Chuo Line "Musashi-Sakai Station," is also an attractive feature.
