This panel exhibition introduces the charm of the Kodaira Open Garden as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Originating in the UK, open gardens are an initiative where private gardens are opened to the public for viewing, and in Kodaira City, this began in 2007. The open gardens, which initially numbered 13 locations, have increased to 23 locations and are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. The gardens, meticulously cared for by their owners, form a beautiful townscape, with diverse gardens scattered throughout the city, including highly popular rose gardens and natural gardens exceeding 1,000 tsubo (approx. 3,300 square meters). If the garden owner is present, visitors can ask about gardening, making the gardens a place for local community interaction. The panel exhibition introduces the history and appeal of the Kodaira Open Garden over its 20 years. A face-in-hole photo board of an open gardener that can be enjoyed as a photo spot and a "Thank You Card" experience corner to convey gratitude, impressions, and short messages to garden owners will also be set up.
