The Kokubunji City Disaster Prevention Festa is an event aimed at improving "self-help" and "mutual aid" capabilities in preparation for major disasters such as an earthquake directly hitting the Tokyo metropolitan area. A variety of booths and programs are prepared for both children and adults to learn about disaster prevention while having fun. At the venue, activities such as reinforcing bar detection experience, disaster prevention quizzes for humans and animals, first aid training, 119 emergency call training, and fire and earthquake experiences using disaster prevention VR/AR will be conducted. At the PR corner for sister cities and friendship cities, visitors can enjoy city introductions, goods distribution, and quizzes. In the "Iza! Kaeru Caravan!", disaster prevention training programs are combined with a toy exchange event, allowing participants to collect points and join a toy auction. Experiences and training inside Tokyo Fire Department vehicles, a lottery for ladder truck rides, displays of disaster-related vehicles, and mini fire engine ride experiences will also take place. The stage program features an opening ceremony, disaster prevention exercises, musical performances by the Tokyo Fire Department Band and Fire Boys and Girls Club, and a special disaster prevention festa stage by Kokubunji Fire Station personnel. For the venue stamp rally, there are "Kaekko Cards" for children and "Stamp Rally Sheets" for adults, which can be exchanged for prizes according to the number of stamps collected. Rescue Kitchen Cars® and regular kitchen cars will also be on site, offering food and drinks to enjoy.
