About this event
The "Ohisama Sun Sun Festival" is an event designed for children with disabilities to enjoy various games together with local children. It provides opportunities to nurture an environment where children can live vibrantly within the local community, foster friendships with local children and volunteers, and deepen understanding of disabilities. On the day of the event, diverse play corners will be available, including Struck Out, boccia, molkky, ring toss, pretend fishing, picture-story shows (kamishibai), shrink plastic crafts and drawing, sound play, sounds-lights-and-balloons, puppet shows, and Japanese taiko drumming experiences. The event is open to children with disabilities (under 18 years old who live or attend school in the city), though accompaniment by a guardian or facility staff member is required. Local children can also participate, and volunteers are currently being recruited.
