Japanese name:世界の子どもの本展

📅 Sun, Nov 29, 2026 - Sun, Dec 6, 2026

📍 Nishitokyo, Tokyo

About this event

This is an exhibition where you can pick up and read 184 children's books in 52 languages from around the world. Works by winners of the Hans Christian Andersen Award selected in 2024 by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), as well as works from the 'IBBY Honour List' selected by IBBY as outstanding children's books worldwide, will be exhibited. The Hans Christian Andersen Award is a prestigious award also referred to as the 'Little Nobel Prize.' Many of the exhibited books have Japanese explanations, allowing you to learn the book titles and countries of publication. A large Christmas tree is also set up at the venue, allowing commemorative photography. In an era dominated by smartphones, this will be a valuable opportunity for children to engage deeply with books.
