"Kushiro Health Festival 2026: Before You Know It, Health Becomes a Habit — Protect Your Own Health by Yourself" is an event offering citizens an opportunity to understand their own health conditions while having fun and reflecting on everyday wellness. Healthcare professionals and organizations in the city will set up numerous elaborate booths, allowing visitors to raise their health awareness through various health checks, consultations, and hands-on experiences. In addition to corners organized by Kushiro City—such as a healthy stamp rally, self-blood glucose measurement, and vegetable intake measurement—a wide variety of specialized booths will be featured, including medical consultations, dental health consultations, nutritional counseling, foot health consultations, occupational therapy corners, cancer screening information, arteriosclerosis testing, free acupuncture and moxibustion trials, medical radiation consultations, swallowing checks for pneumonia prevention, medical and nursing care consultations, intractable disease consultations, AED demonstrations, drug abuse prevention awareness campaigns, organ transplant promotion campaigns, and alcohol/physical health consultations. Furthermore, there will be sales of cookies, handmade crafts, confectionery, a bazaar, and kitchen cars (food trucks), making it a full day to learn about health while enjoying oneself. Content tailored to a wide range of ages and interests will be available, including preventive care gymnastics, new sports experiences, bone health checks, learning about heart failure and frailty, breast cancer palpation practice, Fumanet exercise, swelling/edema care, information on tobacco health hazards, vital vitality measurement sessions, and consultations with kidney specialists. At the Pretend Hospital corner, children can also enjoy role-playing as doctors and nurses.
