Kodomo Wakuwaku Support Project in Hachijojima

About this event

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold the 'Kodomo Wakuwaku Support Project in Hachijojima' as part of the 'Kodomo Smile Movement,' which aims to realize a society that values children, and as an initiative of the 'Tokyo Kodomo Creative Lab (Kurirabo),' which provides digital creation experiences for children who will lead the future digital society. Overcoming the typhoon disaster of 2025 (Reiwa 7), this project aims to support the children of Hachijo Town moving toward the future and create opportunities for children to smile by providing thrilling experiences. The project consists of multiple programs offering special experiences not usually accessible in collaboration with companies and NPOs, as well as digital creation experiences to shape ideas using digital tools. Specifically, participants can try playing with toy drones, dinosaur attractions, fossil excavation experiences, the Tokyo Children's Homepage experience, volleyball coaching by former Japan national team players, 3D printing experiences, 3D modeling experiences, shooting game development, and creating game commentary videos. These programs are open to residents and students of Hachijo Town.
