On Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026, the '53rd Kawasaki Port Festival' will be held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the opening of Kawasaki Port. The venues are the area around Kawasaki Marien and Higashi-Ogishima Higashi Park. With the goal of deepening understanding of Kawasaki Port and increasing familiarity with the port, this year's festival will be held under the theme of 'Everyone's Kawasaki Port' in cooperation with port-related organizations and groups. A special highlight is that the sailing ship 'Nippon Maru' will call at Kawasaki Port as a commemorative event and open to the public for the first time in 25 years, offering an opportunity to tour on deck. At the venues, stage events, gourmet food, and various content where children and adults can learn about the sea and the port are planned, packed with programs to fully experience the appeal of Kawasaki Port. Detailed event information will be announced as needed on the special Port Festival page scheduled to be launched. The event will proceed in light rain and be cancelled in stormy weather.
