Sagamihara Yosakoi RANBU! 2026

Held every September in Sagamihara City, "Sagamihara Yosakoi RANBU!" is the largest festival in Minami Ward, gathering Yosakoi teams from inside and outside the city. In 2026, it will be held on Sunday, September 20 along the street in front of JR Yokohama Line Kobuchi Station and at Kobuchi Nishi Park. It is an autumn tradition in Sagamihara that has continued for over 20 years around Kobuchi Station, and as the name "RANBU" suggests, its greatest appeal is the vibrant, dynamic dancing where each team sounds their naruko clappers. In 2026, 36 teams have entered. Viewing is free, making it easy to enjoy even with small children. The scene of colorful costumes and the sound of naruko echoing in front of the station is one of the representative sights of early autumn in Sagamihara. In the opening and finale So-odori mass dances, you can see a breathtaking scene where participating teams dance all together. The real thrill of Yosakoi RANBU! is above all the performance of each team. Costumes, choreography, and music all differ by team, and unique performances are presented one after another. The parade dance moving along the street in front of the station can be viewed from anywhere along the roadside. Around the venue, local food stalls and vendor booths typically line the area each year. With AEON Sagamihara directly connected to the station, there is no trouble finding drinks or resting spots. The venue on the Kobuchi Nishi Park side offers a relatively more relaxed viewing experience than the street in front of the station.
