Yokosuka Kaikoku Fireworks Festival 2026
Japanese name:よこすか開国花火大会2026
📅 Sun, Sep 27, 2026
About this event
The "Yokosuka Kaikoku Fireworks Festival 2026," the largest fireworks event on the Miura Peninsula, will be held to illuminate the autumn night sky of Yokosuka. Approximately 10,000 fireworks will be launched against the seaside backdrop of Yokosuka, allowing visitors to enjoy an impressive display in the clear autumn air. This year, the event will not be held concurrently with the U.S. Navy Yokosuka Base open house event, "US-Japan Friendship Day Yokosuka." The launch site has been moved from off the coast of Shinko Port to off the coast of Heisei Port, and a wide viewing area will be secured extending from Shinko Wharf to Umibe Fishing Park, helping to distribute visitor traffic and reduce congestion. Set in an open coastal location, colorful and dazzling fireworks will illuminate the night in Yokosuka.
