Catch! See! Eat! Complete Sweetfish (Ayu) Experience Tour

About this event

Organized by the Atsugi City Tourism Association, the "Catch! See! Eat! Complete Sweetfish Experience Tour" is an ayu (sweetfish) experience that parents and children can enjoy together. Participants gather at the Sagami River riverbank to experience lure fishing in the Sagami River, tour the Atsugi Ayu Seedling Center, and enjoy bare-handed ayu catching and skewering. Furthermore, you can savor Atsugi specialties aboard a yakatabune (traditional houseboat), making this a tour where you can fully appreciate sweetfish with all five senses. Why not take this opportunity to thoroughly experience the charm of Atsugi sweetfish and encounter its culinary delight and culture? Advance registration is required, and the participation fee includes consumption tax, bus transportation, lunch, and insurance. The event will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, and you can choose between Part 1 and Part 2. The event will proceed in light rain, but may be canceled in case of severe weather such as typhoons or rising water levels.
