About this event
The "45th Oyama Fire Festival Takigi Noh" will be held at the Oyama Afuri Shrine Administration Office Noh Stage, offering audiences the chance to experience the profound and ethereal world of traditional dance. Takigi Noh, a sacred performing art continuing since the Genroku era of the Edo period, will be performed in the historic setting of Oyama once again this year. The program includes "Hitori Okina" by Yazaemon Yamashina, followed by two shimai dances: "Dokan" by Naohiro Takeda and "Hanjo" by Kojiro Sumi. The Kyogen performance will feature "Chatsubo" (The Tea Jar) performed by Tojiro Yamamoto, Yautaro Yamamoto, and Norishige Yamamoto of the Okura school, while the Noh play "Kamo" will be performed by Kiyokazu Kanze, headmaster of the Kanze school, and Saburota Kanze. In the event of rain, the performance will be held at the Isehara Civic Cultural Hall. All seats are reserved, priced at 6,500 yen for S seats and 5,000 yen for A seats.
