Workshop: Capturing the Colors of the Forest!

About this event

A workshop where parents and children can experience tataki-zome (leaf pounding dye) based on the theme of forest colors will be held in Hayama Town. Transferring the natural colors in the forest to create original works provides an excellent opportunity to nurture children's creativity and deepen their interest in nature. Targeted at first graders through ninth graders (third-year junior high school students) and their guardians, this event allows parents and children to spend a special time together while appreciating nature's blessings. The workshop also incorporates an SDGs perspective, teaching participants about the abundance of forests and the techniques of tataki-zome.
