About this event

In Nishi-Tanzawa, known as a famous spot for autumn foliage, the "Nishi-Tanzawa Momiji Festival [Shishi Nabe]" will be held where visitors can savor the tastes of autumn. The festival's specialty, shishi nabe (wild boar hot pot), generously uses wild boar meat and locally grown vegetables, served to visitors from up to about 100 large pots. Gathering around the hot pot naturally brings smiles and lively conversations even among people meeting for the first time, deepening autumn memories. On the day, performances by Oi Gongen Daiko drums, entertainment shows, souvenir stalls, and a grand lottery are also planned, allowing visitors to enjoy an autumn feast throughout the whole day. Dedicated buses will operate from Shin-Matsuda Station and Yamakita Station to the venue, making access convenient. This festival is an event where the beauty of nature and the warmth of people meet, offering a special day unique to autumn.
