Yui-Port Art Experience Camp Autumn 2026

About this event

This is a 2-day, 1-night camp where participants experience workshops planned by Mika Otonari (originally from Miyazaki Prefecture), an artist-in-residence at Yui-Port. Focusing on Niigata's rice-farming culture, participants will try their hand at creative expression using rice flour and rice straw. The camp is packed with exciting and enjoyable experiences, such as visiting workshops together with the artist. Alongside Ms. Otonari, who creates artworks focused on nature and indigenous culture and customs, participants will use familiar materials and themes to feel closer to art, aiming to rediscover local charms and affection for the region.
