58th Tokamachi City Art Exhibition

The 58th Tokamachi City Art Exhibition, held in Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture, is an art exhibition showcasing works across four categories: painting, sculpture/crafts, calligraphy, and photography. This year, a new non-judged entry division for high school students and younger has been established. Submission fees vary depending on the division and number of pieces: 1,500 yen per piece for the general public, 500 yen for high school students, and 300 yen for the entry division. Artwork delivery takes place on November 10, and the awards ceremony will be held at the venue from 9:00 AM on November 15. The judges will be Mr. Shuji Nagayoshi (Special Member of the Japan Art Institute) for painting, Mr. Koji Homma (Steering Committee Member of the Niigata City Art Exhibition) for sculpture/crafts, Mr. Shofu Ito (President of the Niigata Prefecture Artists Federation) for calligraphy, and Mr. Kazuo Suzuki (Member of the Photographic Society of Japan) for photography. A prize of 30,000 yen will be awarded for the City Exhibition Prize.
