The "Mitsuke Walking Festival 2026" held in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture, is an event where participants can enjoy walking with family and friends while taking in the rich natural surroundings of Mitsuke. Four courses of 3 km, 5 km, 8 km, and 13 km are available, allowing participants to choose according to their fitness level and preferences. The 3 km course offers peaceful rural scenery, the 5 km course tours Otaira Forest Park, and the 8 km course provides panoramic views overlooking downtown Mitsuke from Mount Kannon. Furthermore, the 13 km course is a long-distance route that tours Mitsuke's shopping streets, the English Garden, and Patio Niigata, allowing walkers to fully savor the charms of Mitsuke. On the day, the "Sports & Fair Plaza" offering traditional festival stalls and sports experiences will be held concurrently, providing an enjoyable full day beyond just walking. Put on comfortable walking clothes and shoes, and fully enjoy the autumn nature of Mitsuke.
