About this event
Located in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, "Ougon no Sato" (Golden Village) is an autumn foliage destination featuring a row of approximately 100 giant ginkgo trees ranging from 200 to 600 years old. Among them are prized trees known as "Chichiicho" (Breast Ginkgo). With idyllic rural landscapes and the majestic sacred Mount Hakusan in the background, visitors can enjoy a stroll while admiring the sparkling golden leaves adorning the village. At Ougon no Sato Kaikan, visitors can purchase souvenirs or enjoy meals such as the famous mugikiri noodles, soba noodles made with locally produced Bessho buckwheat flour, and the owner's specially crafted jumbo gyoza dumplings. A beautiful landscape representing autumn in Gosen City unfolds.
