About this event
This is a major event on Sado Island in which over 2,000 people from inside and outside the island participate, racing across Sado Island in three disciplines: swim, bike, and run. On the day of the event, the entire island is enveloped in triathlon excitement, filled with the passion of athletes, supporters, volunteers, and diverse people. Type A is also held as the Japan Long Distance Triathlon Championship, offering Long Distance (swim 4.0km, bike 190.0km, run 42.2km) and Middle Distance (swim 2.0km, bike 108.0km, run 21.1km) categories. In addition, relay-style Type RA (same distance as Type A) and Type RB (same distance as Type B) are also available. Athlete registration and race briefings take place the day before the event, and exchange events such as the Island Festival party and Matakoiccha party will also be held. Participation requirements include age limits and past race completion records.
