About this event
The 'Sado Folk Song Festival' will be held, offering a chance to enjoy a wide variety of traditional folk songs handed down on Sado Island in one place. With 'Gathering' as the theme for this 9th edition, folk song groups from across the island will perform, presenting Sado Okesa as well as various songs and dances. Joint stage performances by the 'Sado Moto Okesa Haiya Study Group' and the 'Sado Folk Song Joint Team Yui' will also take place. A 'Folk Song Experience Corner' will be featured at the venue where visitors can touch taiko drums, shamisen, okesa hats, and folk costumes, and 5 food trucks are scheduled to open stalls. It will be a day to become familiar with Sado folk songs and fully enjoy their charm.
