Held in Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, "Kotai Market" is a market that began with the aim of reviving the past hustle and bustle of Kotai Jingu Shrine. Local farmers bring and sell fresh specialty produce and goods. Starting in fiscal year 2024, it is held twice a year in June and September; particularly in September, performances of festival stall music (yatai-bayashi) are held, allowing visitors to enjoy a traditional atmosphere. Operating hours are from 9:00 to around 12:00. In fiscal year 2026, it is scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 7 and Sunday, September 6. In June, a Garapon lottery where you can win popular stickers and food truck appearances are planned, offering plenty of delicious gourmet food. The venue is the approach path (sando) of Amaterasu Kotai Jingu Shrine.
