About this event

Held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Uonuma City Hibiki no Mori Cultural Hall, the "Uonuma Beethoven's Ninth Concert" features Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, conducted and with choral direction by Keigo Okumura, performed by a splendid cast of performers alongside the Uonuma Ninth Hibiki no Mori Symphony Orchestra and the Uonuma Ninth Chorus. In Part 1, famous pieces such as "O mio babbino caro" from Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi, "Habanera" from Bizet's opera Carmen, "Nessun dorma" from Puccini's opera Turandot, and "Va, pensiero" (Fly, thought, on golden wings) from Verdi's opera Nabucco will be performed to colorfully adorn the concert. The lineup includes conductor Keigo Okumura, soprano Ena Miyachi, mezzo-soprano Sayaka Iguchi, tenor Kensho Maekawa, and bass Daiki Tanaka. The venue is the Main Hall of Uonuma City Hibiki no Mori Cultural Hall, with tickets priced at 5,000 yen for S seats, 4,500 yen for A seats, and 3,000 yen for student tickets (high school students and younger). Tickets can be purchased at various playguides or via ePlus.
