About this event
"Tour de Tainai 2026" is a cycling event where you can experience the rich nature of Tainai City with all five senses. It is also a valuable opportunity to tour the Oku-Tainai Dam, which is usually not open to the public. The planned route starts at Niigata Agro-Food University, passes Tainai City Hall, Royal Tainai Park Hotel (rest stop), Oku-Tainai Hutte (rest stop), Oku-Tainai Dam (photo stop), and Michi-no-Eki Tainai (rest stop), before returning to Niigata Agro-Food University. However, part of the course is closed due to a road collapse, and a route change is currently under consideration. The event is targeted at individuals with the cycling fitness to ride from Niigata Agro-Food University to Royal Tainai Park Hotel in about 1 hour. The participation fee is 4,000 yen (including insurance), with a capacity of 150 participants (first-come, first-served). Application forms are distributed at the Lifelong Learning Division Sports Promotion Section (Kurokawa Government Office), Royal Tainai Park Hotel, and Sagami Bicycle Shop (Sagami Shokai), and can also be downloaded online.
