Yahiko Park Momijidani Valley Light-Up

This is an illumination event held at "Momijidani" (Maple Valley) in Yahiko Park, Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture. From early to mid-November, Yahiko welcomes its most beautiful season, and the illumination of Momijidani offers a particularly stunning view. The vermilion Kangetsukyo Bridge, vibrant red autumn foliage, and the moon floating in the night sky create a magical atmosphere that shows an entirely different face from daytime. Within walking distance, a giant ginkgo tree over 300 years old and reaching 20 meters in height is also illuminated, captivating visitors. During the illumination period, a stamp rally connecting Momijidani in Yahiko Park, Momijien in Koshiji (Nagaoka City), and Shoun Sanso in Kashiwazaki City will be held, and visitors can also enjoy illuminations of the "Ichi-no-Torii" (First Torii Gate) and "Tama-no-Hashi" (Jewel Bridge) at Yahiko Shrine. The illumination of the giant ginkgo tree began in 2023.
