The 4th Izumozaki Marathon '26

About this event

Held in Izumozaki Town, Niigata Prefecture, the "4th Izumozaki Marathon '26" is a competition where participants run through an amazing course with an elevation difference of about 100 meters, ranging from the Sea of Japan to gravel forestry roads. On the longest 15.5 km course, the event aims for participants to enjoy interacting with one another while experiencing the beautiful sea and satoyama countryside scenery of Izumozaki Town. While not suited for time trials, it aims to be a race where participants, local volunteers, and everyone involved take center stage, focusing purely on the joy of running. Four categories are offered: Long (15.5 km), Short (7.9 km), Elementary School Challenge (3.0 km), and Family (3.0 km), with awards presented in each division. Finishers will receive a finisher certificate. The competition starts and finishes at the Izumozaki Town Central Community Center Parking Lot and will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026 (Reiwa 8).
