About this event
The "Tsurugi Festival in Kamiichi 2026" is held in Kamiichi Town, Toyama Prefecture, under the theme "Enjoying the region, the region enjoys, enjoying in the region." Set against the spectacular view of Mount Tsurugi, this event allows visitors to fully enjoy autumn in Kamiichi Town. In the Food Plaza, visitors can enjoy various gourmet foods that satisfy both heart and stomach, starting with the proud "KAMI Nabe" hot pot made with Kamiichi-grown taro and Toyama Prefecture beef. In the 2024 edition, items served included "KAMI Nabe" using Kamiichi taro and beef, limited specialty hot pots like bear meat hot pot, mushroom soup, and oden, as well as Kamiichi Japanese Black beef bento boxes, myoga ginger sushi, and nyumen noodles. Furthermore, at Minna-no-Hiroba (Everyone's Plaza), there were ball-scooping games using a backhoe excavator and exhibitions of working vehicles, while stage events featured performances by the Kita-Alps Wind Orchestra and dance showcases by Izumi Music School. For details regarding 2026, please inquire with the Tsurugi Festival in Kamiichi Executive Committee (inside Kamiichi Town Tourism Association).
