About this event
This is a special tour where you can enjoy the magical view of Kurobe Dam standing quietly in the darkness of night, a sight normally impossible to see. From the Kurobe Dam Observation Deck, you can enjoy a magnificent view with a sky full of stars spreading overhead. This tour includes travel by electric bus and walking up/down stairs (60 steps) to the Kurobe Dam embankment. Participation is open to elementary school students and older, though elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian. The tour is intended for individuals who have no trouble boarding/disembarking electric buses and walking on stairs. The tour participation fee is 1,000 yen, but transportation costs to the meeting place and the round-trip electric bus fare between Ogizawa and Kurobe Dam must be paid individually. However, if you have a round-trip ticket for the electric bus used on the day of the tour, you may ride with that ticket. The dispersal point after the event concludes is Ogizawa Station, and since regular bus service to Shinano-Omachi Station has ended by then, participants must arrange their own return transportation from Ogizawa Station. Because the weather changes easily at high altitudes and chilly conditions are expected, bringing a jacket for cold weather protection is recommended.
