About this event
This annual Hakui celebration is an enjoyable, highlight-packed day bringing together local residents. Anyone can join the traditional local 'Hamaguri Ondo' processional dance parade on the spot. Visitors can also enjoy stage events and night stalls run by the local chamber of commerce and youth association. In particular, the Hamaguri Ondo Parade takes place from 18:10 to 18:30 along the Kawaramachi Line urban planning road, and participants receive a 500-yen shopping voucher usable at the night stalls. Advance practice sessions for the parade are also held, where experienced dancers teach carefully so beginners can participate with confidence. Stall vendor recruitment is also being held, allowing stalls to operate from 15:00 to 21:00 on the Kawaramachi Line urban planning road, sidewalks, or on Konya Bridge.
