About this event

Held as a "Food Okaeri Festival" connected by the Kitamaebune merchant ships, the "Mikawa Satoumi Kitokito Festival" is an event featuring numerous local eateries serving creative dishes made with local specialties, such as fish caught at Mikawa Fishing Port and blowfish ovaries. Programs include free servings of "Yamagata Imonabe" (taro potato stew) by the Women's Division of the Mikawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (first 200 portions each round, 400 portions in total), a gourmet battle between the Youth Division of the Mikawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kinjo students, the Mikawa Marugoto Walking event, and a rescue cat charity event. The event will proceed rain or shine, but may be cancelled due to weather conditions such as typhoons. As there is no parking around the venue, using the shuttle bus is required. The shuttle bus boarding and drop-off point is at the Tedori River Left Bank Utsukushigawara Park.
