According to information on the official Hakusan City tourism website, the Hakusan Shiramine Onsen Festival is an annual event held in Shiramine, an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, where visitors can experience unique local autumn flavors and culture. At the venue, a tent market will be set up with delicious local specialties such as chestnut rice, botamochi (sweet rice cakes), yakitori, oroshi udon, salted grilled char, baked manju, and okara donuts. Free "Shiramine Fun Tours" are also offered, featuring various options such as historic townscape walks in the preservation district, visits to Hakusan Dinosaur Park Shiramine, the Hakusan Tedorigawa Geo Tour (visiting the Hakusan Sabo Science Museum and the Hyakuman-kan Rock), and tours of the Hakusanroku Folk Museum. Furthermore, events include the Hakusan Sabo True-or-False Quiz, rock-paper-scissors tournaments against the mascot Haku-san to win bath tickets for Shiramine Onsen Soyu, and complimentary mochi pounding (tochimochi / horse chestnut rice cake pounding). Participating in the stamp rally also offers a chance to win Shiramine souvenirs and bath tickets.
