BIG APPLE in NONOICHI 2026

About this event

Held at the Nonoichi City Cultural Hall Forte in Ishikawa Prefecture, the jazz event "BIG APPLE in NONOICHI 2026" marks its 31st edition this year, bringing together top musicians leading the New York jazz scene and talented Japanese players. Themed "Centennial of the Emperor Miles Davis and the Seeker John Coltrane," the event revives their legendary performances in the modern era. From New York, Kenyatta Beasley (trumpet) and Keith Loftis (saxophone) will visit Japan, joining Satoshi Inoue (guitar), Pat Glynn (bass), David Bryant (piano), and Gene Jackson (drums) from Japan for dynamic sessions just like those in authentic New York. The Moonlight JAZZ Orchestra, based primarily in Ishikawa Prefecture, will also perform as the host band to enliven the stage. On the day before the event, an open workshop for general participants will also be held.
