About this event
Shrine parishioners remove the astringency from the local specialty Shinto persimmons and offer them in tiered boxes (jubako) on the sanbo stands in the worship hall on the day of the festival. After the ritual, the organizers scatter them among the parishioners, who take them home in tiered boxes to savor the flavors of each household while giving thanks for the autumn harvest.
