Held on the Hino River riverbank to the west of Yashiro Nishi Elementary School in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, the 7th Hino River Grand Fireworks is the grand finale of the prefecture's fireworks events, with approximately 5,000 fireworks brilliantly lighting up Fukui's night sky. This year, for the first time, a spectacular show combining fireworks and laser lights will be held, along with planned message fireworks, creating great excitement at the venue. On the day of the event, in addition to the fireworks display, numerous events can be enjoyed from daytime at Kodomo no Kuni, including a craft market, a working vehicles exhibition experience, riddle solving, and festival stalls. Paid viewing areas are also available: S Area is 2,500 yen in advance and 3,000 yen on the day; A Area is 1,000 yen for both advance and same-day tickets. Tickets are required for junior high school students and older, while up to 3 elementary school students or younger per accompanying guardian can enter for free. For public transportation, it takes about 20 minutes by bus or about 15 minutes by taxi from JR Fukui Station. By car, it takes about 22 minutes from Fukui IC. Since there is no parking at the venue, please use the Fukui Sports Park Parking Lot (1,100 spaces, available until 21:00), from which it is about a 20-minute walk to the fireworks venue. A backup date is also scheduled in case of severe weather.
