World-touring Japanese drum group 'Yamato' Japan Tour 2026 in Fukui Based in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, the world-touring Japanese drum group 'Yamato' has performed more than 4,800 times in 55 countries worldwide since its formation in 1993, captivating a total of over 10 million people. Featuring a massive odaiko drum over 2 meters in diameter and weighing over 500 kilograms, along with various Japanese drums large and small, they create a powerful stage. The overwhelming rhythm and delicate expression born from highly trained bodies is truly 'music of the body.' Intensity, sorrow, tranquility, and dynamism—the stage of Yamato is not just an experience of 'listening' to sound, but of 'feeling with the whole body.'
