Fureai Hiroba 2026 Ikeda Main Festival

At 'Fureai Hiroba 2026 Ikeda,' a challenge event titled 'Find the Town Heroes! What Does This Person Do?' will be held under the theme of connecting children and adults. Adults active in Ikeda Town become 'Town Citizen Cards,' and participating children take on 'conversation missions' to collect these cards. They can also enjoy a card game using the collected cards. This project is recruiting collaborators who will brainstorm fun ideas for children or become cards themselves to energize the kids. Students from Ikeda Elementary School, Ikeda Junior High School, and Ikeda High School are also contributing card ideas. On the previous day, a screening of the subtitled, barrier-free movie '104-Year-Old Tetsuyo-san's Living Alone' will also take place. The main festival is prepared with various attractions including food and drink provided by the executive committee, hands-on activities, and stage performances.
