Held across the entire town of Ikeda in Fukui Prefecture, the "Ikeda Food Culture Festival 2026" is an event where visitors can savor the food culture alive in the town. Each shop offers dishes prepared with time and care, making the most of seasonal ingredients and food wisdom passed down from ancient times. Along with the beautiful scenery of the colorful mountains and fields, visitors can enjoy seasonal delicacies unique to this time of year. A rich array of food attractions gathers here, including fresh vegetables grown through organic and reduced-pesticide farming in the town, nostalgic traditional cuisine, sweets made with rice flour, classic anko-mochi and ohagi (sweet rice balls), and soba (buckwheat noodles), a local specialty of Ikeda Town.
