Eging Competition in Kono 2026

About this event

This is a bigfin reef squid fishing tournament held along the entire coastline of the Kono district in Minamiechizen Town, Fukui Prefecture. The competition is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and will proceed in light rain. The entry fee is 2,000 yen, which includes insurance and a 1,000-yen meal voucher. Participants must apply between July 20 and September 25, 2026, via the dedicated application form or FAX. For parking, the event parking lot on the north side of Convi Hearts Kono Kitamaebune-dori Store is available. The competition venue encompasses the entire coastline in Minamiechizen Town, but entry into individual fishing ports is prohibited.
